Statement From The Artist:

"Unseen Borders" is comprised of 23, CNC-cut steel panels designed to reflect Milwaukee’s Eastside, Midtown, and Walker’s Point districts. Bound by Brady Street on the North, Lake Michigan on the East, West Washington Street on the South, and South 16th Street on the West, this piece shows the invisible spaces in our city’s footprint. Following nature’s lead, the panels are divided by the Menominee, Milwaukee, and Kinnickinnic Rivers while circular separations, added to the topography, highlight the relationship between the natural and built worlds.

Kathrine Adelaide Wade is a multidisciplinary sculptor, working towards their undergraduate degree at The University of Milwaukee’s Peck School of the Arts and would like to thank their friends and family for their continued love and unwavering support.
