Statement From The Artist:

Patrick-Thomas Willow is an artist from Dallas, Texas. Willow creates conceptual works through the assemblage of familiar objects that are connected to lingering memories that have a profound impact on our experience and perspectives. Willow (re)imagines opportunities for translating mementos into new contexts with a multiplicity of narratives that become folded within single transient moments that each may experience on their own terms.

"The Moment Before We Eclipse" imagines past and future imagined moments. The moment captured is a reflection on the passage of time and legacy between a father and his sons. The Sons grow to stand as tall as their Father and to pass behind his shadow, but the light of the Sons shall remain visible before, during, and after their eclipse. The gold, silver, and copper gilt reference passed down heirlooms (silverware and coin collection) that Willow received from his grandfather’s estate.is.
